Took two weekend day trips this month:

Suesca — climbing town, 90 minutes north. Sandstone cliffs, great hiking, small mountain town energy. Get there before 9am to avoid the crowds.

Guatavita — colonial replica town near the actual El Dorado lagoon. About 2 hours. Easy hike to the lagoon viewpoint. Lunch at one of the small restaurants in town.

Both doable as a Saturday from Bogotá without a car (private driver or Uber Intercity).
